Who is/are your favourite philosopher(s)?

For the sake of classicism: Aristotle. It might be a typical answer, but his deontology is absolutely spot on. Ethics is what got me into philosophy in the first place and it started with Aristotle.

The philosopher that captures my mind: Kant. When I read him, I am just taken into some alternate reality. Which is weird, because Kant believes there is another reality - a true reality - that we can’t ever access. But I think Kant gets me nearly there…

The philosopher of my soul: Jean Paul Sartre. He’s so empowering. My brief, basic interpretation: “Here is your life, take it and make it yours.” Who would not want to cling to that idea and admire it? He gives me chills.

I guess those are the ones I have major soft spots for, but there are many others I find fascinating.
